Book Blogger Hop - 6/9 - 6/15

 Question of the Week:

If you could have lunch with any living authors and/or book bloggers, who would you choose and why? (submitted by Kitty @ Vicarious Bookworm)

My Answer:

I would have the same answer as the question from April 7 asking what author I would enjoy meeting.

I would enjoy having lunch with Daphne du Maurier.

She is a master at creativity and intrigue.  Her characters are authentic.  Even though most characters are unlikable, I would want to ask her how she came up with her characters and how she made them the way they are.

I would also like to ask her how she came up with the ideas for her books.  :)

As for bloggers...I would LOVE to have lunch with any of my book blogger friends.  They are the BEST!!

We definitely would have a fantastic "book" lunch.

  3. Very nice answer! I have not read any of her work. Strangely enough, I didn't pick the author I chose based on how much I like their work but how interesting I think their personalities must be.

  4. Du Maurier would be a great choice. She sounds like a fascinating woman and she's an amazing author. I've got My Cousin Rachel coming up on my reading list and I'm really excited about it!

  6. Elizabeth, Thanks for stopping by my page. Your answer is so funny, I was listening to a podcast today and they mentioned Rebecca and My Cousin Rachel, both written by this author (if I'm not mistaken). What a small world. Now that Your chosen author is beloved. :)

  13. Oh, I would enjoy having lunch with du Maurier myself! She certainly IS a master!! I was a bit disappointed with "Rebecca", but I would still like to meet her.

As for bloggers, as you know from my post, YOU are one of the ones that I would greatly enjoy having lunch with! Even though we don't read the same genres, I'd LOVE to find out more about the ones you like to read. And I saw from your comment on my post that you've read "Twilight"!! Oh, how I would LOVE to discuss that one with you!! And I could learn more about historical fiction from you! We would have a BLAST, Elizabeth!!! Lol.

Thanks for your lovely comment on my own BBH post!! Hope you're having a WONDERFUL Saturday!! <3 <3 <3 :) :) :)

    4. Hi, again!!

I'm on my cell now. We're at a restaurant called "Brio". But I'm SURE the best Italian restaurant would be at YOUR house!! Lol.

We would LOVE to go there, if we were ever in Pittsburgh! πŸ˜ƒ
But alas, if you came down here, we would have to take you to one of the BEST Cuban restaurants, as I don't cook.... Lol. 😝😝😝 There are two very well-known ones: "La Carreta", and "Versailles" (despite the name, it IS a Cuban restaurant).

      Hasta luego!! (Later!) πŸ’–πŸ˜˜πŸ’–πŸ˜˜πŸ’–πŸ˜˜πŸ’–πŸ˜˜
